In the framework of ENI SEIS II South Support Mechanism project, the Environment Agency Austria (Umweltbundesamt) hosted a five day study tour (16-20 July 2018) for monitoring, production and collection of data on industrial waste water for the Ministry of Environment and Department of Statistics of Jordan.
During this 5-day study tour, the Jordanian delegation had the opportunity to:
- Study monitoring, data collection and production of statistics;
- Learn and exchange ideas about the legal framework, implementation and enforcement practices in Jordan and Austria;
- Identify data availability and statistics to fulfil national and international reporting obligations on wastewater.
A set of recommendations on the way forward and additional specific activities to be implemented within the ENI SEIS II South Support Mechanism was identified.
