On 21 May, EEA and SEA experts held an online consultation on the Catalogue. Experts from Slovakia and EEA highly appreciated the work of the "Catalogue of environmental indicators" and its further development in Azerbaijan. Consultations and feedback on metadata of indicators will continue in the framework of bilateral cooperation between the Slovak Environmental Agency and experts from Azerbaijan.  

The national catalogue of environmental indicators responds to national needs to report on commitments and pledges to national, regional and international policies and bodies. The Catalogue provides a central overview of environmental indicators and thus serves as a basis for monitoring and statistics. In addition, it serves as a basis for reporting on sustainable development policies and for systematically assessing the achievement of targets.

For this purpose, the indicators provide valuable information for environmental management, are policy-oriented and relevant.
