In order to implement activity 3.2   Sharing knowledge on environmental assessments on the basis of EEA country example, the Ministry of Environment of Slovak Republic and Slovak Environment Agency have declared their interest to cooperate with the ENI East countries on this Assessment component.

The objective is to share their experiences in applying the EEA related SoE methodologies and tools:

• present their experiences and challenges in preparing the data/indicators to establish a regular reporting process and assessments on environment and linked with multiple decision and policy making purposes;
• provide feedback on materials provided, and share experiences on how to deal with gaps;
• expert missions to eastern countries and assistance in place with “hands on training”.

The regional workshop will kick off the activities to support capacity building and knowledge sharing by the Slovak experts in developing national state of environment (SoE) reports in the Eastern Partnership countries.
