1st Workshop on reporting under Resolution N. 8(2012) of the Bern Convention

The Council of Europe, the European Environment Agency, the European Topic Centre on Biological Diversity and the ENI SEIS II East project will follow up on the decision of the Standing Committee to the Bern Convention to report on the conservation status of species and habitats under Resolution 8(2012), with a training workshop, that will be hosted by the European Environment Agency (EEA) in Copenhagen from 17 to 18 April 2018.

The workshop is dedicated to the capacity building in national experts on Emerald reporting format and national spatial data conversion into 10 km European grid as well as developing the indicator of protected areas based on the indicator specification of the UNECE D1 and EEA SEBI 007.

Thanks to the support of the EEA through the European Union project ENI SEIS EAST II, Contracting Parties and observer States to the Bern Convention will be given the opportunity to become familiar with the reporting format and with the spatial data/GIS requirements under the reporting.

More information is available on the training workshop webpage.

The workshop will be followed by a training session on Biodiversity indicators.
