The European Environment Agency and the Secretariat of the Bern Convention are organising an Emerald Network biogeographical evaluation seminar from 23 to 24 May in Kyiv (Ukraine).

It will aim to assess the sufficiency of the proposed Emerald Network sites in Belarus, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine for ensuring the long-term conservation of bird species of European importance.

This seminar is carried out within the framework of the ENI SEIS EAST II project, funded by the European Union through the European Neighbourhood Instrument and implemented by the European Environment Agency in the Eastern Partnership Region.

The event is open for the invited representatives of national authorities, NGOs, independent experts and observers, evaluators, as well as representatives of the Council of Europe and the European Environment Agency.
