The EEA just published the water accounts database for Europe, now available at https://www.eea.europa.eu/data-and-maps/data/wise-water-accounts-database/

 The database holds monthly data on the physical water asset accounts and physical water supply and use (flow accounts) for 108 river basin districts of Europe. The time series cover the years 1990-2015. Spatial reference data for the EEA Water accounts for Europe are available at:https://www.eea.europa.eu/data-and-maps/data/wise-water-accounts-spatial

 In addition to the water accounts database and spatial data, a background document on the methodological implementation, data sources and data processing is also provided within the folder of “WISE_WaterAccounts_v2018r3_accdb”. 

The EEA Water accounts for Europe is one of the few examples at the global level providing a comprehensive and well-structured database on monthly water accounts at the river basin scale. This is the first release, which will be followed with improved versions in the near future.
