UfM Ministers agree on new framework for an enhanced regional cooperation on Water in the Mediterranean
On 27 April in Valetta (Malta) in a meeting hosted by the Maltese Government, the ministers in charge of Water from the 43 members of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) agreed to develop a UfM Water Agenda to further enhance regional cooperation on water.
Ministers agreed to develop a Union for the Mediterranean Water Agenda to help UfM Member States implement sustainable and integrated water management policies and contribute to a sustainable livelihood for the region’s citizens, recalling the importance of the Paris agreement and reaffirming their commitment to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable development.
