April 2017 | Study of effectiveness and relevance for policy making and public information of recent environmental assessments in the ENI East region

ENI SEIS II East project launches a new study
Countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine

The newly launched study analyses and evaluates the environmental reporting process, its efficiency for policy and public use and the impact on policymaking and awareness, online availability and the basis for assessment of environmental data and indicators across the thematic areas of air, biodiversity, water and the state of environment report.

The study will analyse differences and similarities across the ENI East region, and will produce practical recommendations to improve efficiency in order to support policymaking and increase public awareness.

Potential users of environmental assessment reports ranging from key stakeholders to members of the public, were interviewed in April and May 2017.

The outcome of the studies will be available by mid-October and will consist of six country summary reports and a regional synthesis report.
