The EEA expert, Mr Nihat Zal, delivered training that introduced the implementation of water assets and flow accounts in line with the United Nations SEEA for water.

The topics covered were:

• an overview of the SEEA for water;
• an  introduction to physical water asset accounts;
• asset classification;
• the water cycle;
• water asset accounting;

The training included exercises in which experts can put the material they have learned into practice.
