2-4 October 2019 | In-depth training on the development of the state of environment reports in Ukraine

The EEA and the Slovak Environment Agency held a 3-day training session on developing state of environment reports in Ukraine. This hands-on training, developed by the EEA and the Slovak Environment Agency, focused on deepening the capacitiy of the national experts to implement of selected indicators and assessment tools and reporting on the environment. 

State of environment reports aim to provide a comprehensive assessment of the environment’s state, trends and prospects in a given area to inform the making and implementation of environmental policies. Such assessments provide information on environmental pressures, driving forces and societal responses.  Environmental assessments support sustainable development by providing timely, targeted, relevant and reliable information to policymakers and the public. This 3-day event addressed 24 experts from the Ukrainian environmental and statistical authorities.

All the participants gave the event with a high satisfaction score.
