The kick-off meeting achieved its goals as follows:

• It      created a shared vision of Armenia’s      ecoportal and expected key findings.
• It      agreed on the structure and content of the Armenian water portal.
• It      defined tasks for the selected contractor for the implementation of the      water portal’s development.
• It      approved the scope of cooperation with the stakeholders and the decided the      members of the supporting team.
• It      approved the implementation plan.

The meeting was attended by experts from the EEA, the European Topic Centre, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Environment, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and ArmStateHydromet, and representatives of the State Committee of the Real Cadastre, the UNDP Climate Change-Armenia programme, the EU Water Initiative Plus (WI+) project, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) project and NGOs.

As a result of the meeting, a document on the specification of activities for developing the ecoportal was drafted, a contract was signed with the information technology (IT) company, the scope of cooperation was determined, and the hosting of the portal and the future exploitation issues were discussed’.

Following the approval of the meeting reports, the main findings will be posted on the websites of the Republic of Armenia Ministry of Environment and the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia, in both Armenian and English.
