13-14 November 2018 | Third steering committee for the EU-funded ENI SEIS II East project meets in Tbilisi

The project’s steering committee is responsible for its governance, evaluates the project’s results and provides strategic guidance. It meets every year. The third steering committee meeting took place on 13 and 14 November 2018, in Tbilisi. The event was organised by the European Environmental Protection Agency (EEA)  and was hosted by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture and the National Statistics Office of Georgia.

It was attended by the national focal points from the six partner countries, the European Commission (Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations or DG NEAR), high-level representatives from the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, and the National Statistics Office of Georgia, as well as representatives of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), Zoï Environment Network, and the EEA.

 


 

The following points were addressed during the meeting:

  • The steering committee got an overview of the ENI SEIS II East project's implementation and progress during 2018.
  • The national focal points from the Eastern Partnership countries delivered their reports.
  • The European Commission shared the main findings of its 2018 results-oriented monitoring of the project.
  • The steering committee discussed the project plan for 2019.
