Azerbaijan published 200-2015 land cover and land change accounts online. This is an outcome of the project's vocational training on environmental accounting of land, which took place at the CIRAD from 2 to 6 September 2019. The land accounts are based on land cover data prepared for the training by European experts. The land cover data sets are based on the Copernicus Global Land Cover and international/national data sources.  

The land cover and land cover change accounts are produced following the EEA LEAC / UN SEEA to monitor the land degradation in a natural capital approach and report to SDG indicator 15.3.1 in Azerbaijan.

National insitutions concluded in their product review that its quality was fair enough for filling the needed data gap, and that it could be used as a start.This action illustrates the products and indicators the country can get from national fully-fledged CORINE Land Cover.
