Inception phase and CCL visit

The aim of the visit is to conduct consultations at national level and agree on the specific targets and implementation steps in the period 2017-2019 (to be reviewed annually) – including actions to identity the potential partners for the CORINE Land Cover mapping activity.

The Abseron peninsula was proposed as a pilot area for Azerbaijan by the State Geodetic Agency. It is geographically diverse, as it includes the capital city and agricultural, semi-natural and water areas.  It has good potential for mapping CLC changes over time with strong urban-industrial sprawl around Baku
